Color LCD 128x128 Nokia Knock-Off: Updated full description

   Description: Finally! Color LCDs you can afford and play with! Yet
   another product based on an SFE customer request, this 128x128 mini
   color LCD is a perfect match for your next portable application.

   What we've we\'ve found over in China is a 'copy' \'copy\' of the Nokia LCD found in
   models 6100, 6610, 7210, 7250, and 5100? We don't don\'t know what phones it
   fits, and we don't don\'t really care. This inexpensive LCD comes with a
   powerful white LED backlight and a relatively simple serial interface.
   It's
   It\'s a 9-bit interface, so beware. But we were able to get the LCD up
   and running on a LPC2138 with a few hours worth of work.

   Please note: This LCD is meant to replace a broken screen in a cell
   phone. The connector (both on the LCD and on the PCB) was not designed
   for multiple attachment/detachment. Please secure your LCD is place
   with double stick tape to prevent stress on these connectors. This LCD
   is small! Please see the comparative photos. With that said, it is
   still superbly readable at arms length (cell phone technology).

   no! We even sell the loose connector for $2 in case you are worried
   about soldering the tight 0.5mm pitch.

   Description: The Soldering Class will be the fourth class in the
   SparkFun class series. This will be a hands-on class where the students
   learn techniques to help them solder surface mount and through-hole
   components to their circuit boards.
   Classes take place within SparkFun. We provide all the tools, irons,
   solder, parts, and seats for up to 20 people. You'll You\'ll be soldering the
   [1]SMD Simon Kit together. By the end of the night, you will have a
   functioning game to take home and show off to your friends (we get
   funny looks all the time).
   There is a minimum age requirement of 15 years old, but other than
   that, anyone is encouraged to sign up. We teach people all the time
   with no previous soldering experience! And if you know your way around
   an iron, we can also show you some advanced tips and tricks (flux,
   wicking, hot-air rework, etc).
   If the weather decides not to cooperate (if it snows more than a few
   inches), we will attempt to have the class one week later. We're We\'re not
   out of bad weather season yet!
   There will be a tour of SparkFun at 9:00AM given by Nathan (CEO), and
   the PTH class will start promptly at 9:30AM on April 8th!
   SparkFun will provide all the tools, irons and solder. You get to keep
   your assembled Simon PTH Kit!

Triple Axis Magnetometer Breakout - HMC5843: Updated full description

   Description: This is a breakout board for Honeywell's Honeywell\'s HMC5843, a
   3-axis digital compass. Communication with the HMC5843 is simple and
   all done through an I2C interface. There is no on-board regulator, so a
   regulated voltage of 2.5-3.3VDC should be supplied.

   The breakout board includes the HMC5843 sensor and all filtering
   capacitors as shown. The power and 2-wire interface pins are all broken
   out to a 0.1" 0.1\" pitch header.

ScrewShield: Updated full description

   Description: The ScrewShield extends all pins of the Arduino out to
   3.5mm pitch screw terminals. Both sides of the shield are broken out to
   the side of the Arduino, to allow access to everything on the main
   Arduino board. Stacking headers are also included so you can pile more
   shields on top.
   This product includes all the parts shown and comes in kit form and

   Description: The Minisense 100 is a low-cost cantilever-type vibration
   sensor loaded by a mass to offer high sensitivity at low frequencies.
   Useful for detecting vibration and 'tap' \'tap\' inputs from a user. A small
   AC and large voltage (up to +/-90V) is created when the film moves back
   an forth. A simple resistor should get the voltage down to ADC levels.
   Can also be used for impact sensing or a flexible switch.

Luxeon Rebel High Power LED - Warm White: Updated full description

Description: This is a super-high intensity Luxeon Rebel LED, warm
white in color. These LEDs provide optimized light quality and
efficiency to address a number of project needs, including LED
illumination.
These LEDs can be blindingly bright and have a max forward current of
1A! This LED has a typical forward voltage of 3VDC (2.55V to 3.99V
range). They're They\'re also tiny; measuring in at about 3 x 4.5 mm.
These LEDs can get toasty; you may want to consider adding some form of
[1]heatsinking to them. In addition to the heatsink, we also carry a
[2]lense and [3]lense carrier specific to the rebel LEDs. Those
components are all part of a [4]solderless LED holder, they all snap
together and really simplify the connection to these LEDs.

FTDI Basic Breakout - 5V: Updated full description

   Description: This is a basic breakout board for the FTDI FT232RL USB to
   serial IC. The pinout of this board matches the FTDI cable to work with
   official Arduino and cloned 5V Arduino boards. It can also be used for
   general serial applications. The major difference with this board is
   that it brings out the DTR pin as opposed to the RTS pin of the FTDI
   cable. The DTR pin allows an Arduino target to auto-reset when a new
   Sketch is downloaded. This is a really nice feature to have and allows
   a sketch to be downloaded without having to hit the reset button. This
   board will auto reset any Arduino board that has the reset pin brought
   out to a 6-pin connector.
   The pins labeled BLK and GRN correspond to the colored wires on the
   FTDI cable. The black wire on the FTDI cable is GND, green is CTS. DTR. Use
   these BLK and GRN pins to align the FTDI basic board with your Arduino
   target.
   This board has TX and RX LEDs that make it a bit better to use over the
   FTDI cable. You can actually see serial traffic on the LEDs to verify
   if the board is working.
   This board was designed to decrease the cost of Arduino development and
   increase ease of use (the auto-reset feature rocks!). Our Arduino Pro
   boards and LilyPads use this type of connector.
   One of the nice features of this board is a jumper on the back of the
   board that allows the board to be configured to either 3.3V or 5V (both
   power output and IO level). This board ship default to 5V, but you can
   cut the default trace and add a solder jumper if you need to switch to
   3.3V.

Audio-Sound Module - SOMO-14D: Updated full description

Description: The SOMO-14D is a tiny audio module that can play back
stored audio files from a micro-SD memory card. The module supports
4-bit ADPCM audio files (.ad4) with sample rates from 6kHz up to 36kHz.
The compact 14-pin module takes up very minimal board space and is
ideal for any application that requires embedded audio.
A free software tool, which can convert any WAVE(.wav) or MP3(.mp3)
file to the ADPCM(.ad4), is linked below. The .ad4 file can be saved to
a uSD card and playback can be controlled via one of two methods:
serial or key.

The serial-mode provides a simple, 2-wire interface to any
micro-controller via its DATA and CLK lines. Audio operations such as
PLAY, PAUSE, STOP and VOLUME control functions are all available to the
host micro via simple serial commands.

The key-mode provides a stand alone operation where a host micro is not
required. With only 3 push buttons, a 3V battery and a speaker, an
extremely compact and low component count MP3-Player like system can be
implemented.
