Polar Heart Rate Module - RMCM01

Description: This is a OEM module for the Polar Heart Rate system. This device works with any Polar heart rate strap to pickup the electromagnetic pulse and output a 1ms pulse indicating a heart beat has occurred. Embed a heart rate reading into your next project!

The RMCM01 requires no antenna. It does require a 32kHz crystal but that crystal does not need capacitors. Please see the basic schematic below.

Hi. What are LX1 and LX2 or FPLS inputs good for?

Karel, you can place an additional resisitor between these pins if you want to reduce receiver distance range. This is ussually about 90 cm.

Can I use a microcontroller to generate a 0-3.3V square wave instead of using a crystal for the 32 kHz frequency reference?

I used this module in my heart rate logging project. Basically, I just calculated the heartrate from the output pulses and stored them to heartrate.txt on a microSD card. Details and video here: http://tinkerish.com/blog/?p=130 Michael

The photos for this device show incorrect dimensions - the module is actually 15x19mm, so less than an inch on each side.

how much have to be the value of resistor between LX1 an LX2? Because i want to put a 10k trimmer between these pins to adjust the distance.

i would like to say that this module doesn´t work! I bought 10 modules, and all of it didn´t work!

Does anybody know if is possible to use two of that together? I mean, I want to use two transmitters so do I need two of this Polar Heart Module?
