This board mates directly with the Arduino USB board and allows the Arduino to wireless communicate over a modified ZigBee protocol using the popular XBee module from Maxstream. This shield does not include an XBee module. Any XBee module will work with the shield.

Will this board allow you to wirelessly program the Arduino, or do you have to get to get the Bluetooth Arduino to do that?

Note: Works only with Adruino USB board. Will not work with any other Arduino.

It's too bad this won't work with other Arduino boards. Is it because it uses some stuff from the ICSP header? I suspect this might be the case because some Arduino compatible boards don't bring the ICSP out to the same location.

Hi all. Is this shield compatible with XBee Serie 1 module (ref sparkfun WRL-08665) or do I have to buy a XBee 2.5 (as on pictures or related products). Thanks. Jérémy
