Reminder - SparkFun at Mini-Maker Faire!

There's a Mini-Maker Faire in Aspen this Saturday (July 10th).

Just a quick reminder that this Saturday (July 10th) there is going to be a Maker Faire (on the miniature scale) in Aspen, CO from 10AM - 3PM. Given that this is pretty much SparkFun's backyard, we can't find a good reason for us not to go - so we'll be there!

Once again, we will be running soldering workshops. This time around, given the smallish scale of the event, we are only going to be offering the Simon PTH kit. Once again, we ask for a suggested donation and all profits will benefit a local non-profit - this time the Aspen Youth Center.

Aspen is beautiful this time of year and there is a lot to do up there. Saturday's high is a perfect 76 degrees (F), so this is an excellent excuse to head up to the mountains. Hope to see you there!

There needs to be a mini maker-faire in or near Seattle...

      Agreed!

      • Being from Seattle, I also agree. Perhaps the nice people at MetrixCreateSpace.com or 911Media.org could help organize an event.

Ah, darn. Every time there's a Maker Faire, it always seems to be on the other side of the country where I live. C'mon, Maker Faire Philadelphia (area)!

I would totally go to this for the soldering workshop!
...if it was located in Denmark. I don't suppose there's any chance of you making a Maker Faire in Denmark, or coming to one. :( I'm not even sure if there is one anywhere here...

  • Are you guys coming to the Detroit Maker Faire?

    • Sadly, no. San Mateo earlier this year was our big one.

That's a bummer - my project (quadcopter) has lots of SF parts on board
        :(

That figures - San Mateo was the only one I couldn't / won't be able to make it to. Ah well, perhaps next year.
