SparkFun Curated Kickstarter

Announcing the creating of the SparkFun-Approved Kickstarter page.

Favorited Favorite 0

So for the past couple of days, we've had a post up about the SparkFun AVC band and its Kickstarter page. Tying right into that, we are proud to announce the creation of a SparkFun Curated Kickstarter page. What exactly does that mean? Well, let's talk it out.

Look for this banner at the top of the page to check out our curated Kickstarter.

In the past, we've posted a few things on our blog and linked to their Kickstarter pages (for example, the MaKey MaKey). We wanted to create a place where all the "SparkFun Approved" Kickstarter projects could live. Working with Kickstarter, we now have a curated page where we can post projects/ideas that resonate with us. Check it out!

If you have a Kickstarter project that you think we'd be into (meaning, it's electronics-based or uses SparkFun parts) and would like us to post it up on our curated page, please submit it via our project call form. Please be aware that, as much as we'd like to, we can't post every single submission on our curated page so there is a chance we might not put your project up there. But we'll try to get a good number of them up and help you achieve your funding goals. At the very least, check out our SparkFun Kickstarter page - maybe something will inspire you!

How about a way for people to recommend kickstarters for your curated page? There are a bunch I like that you have not included yet. Perhaps the project folks may not be aware of your project call or a bit busy making stuff ...

Well, this is certainly one way to get me to take a project off the back burner. Of course by that I mean I've been speccing out a handful of MOSFETs for the past 18 hours or so to perfect my power input stage. =D

I was looking at some of the kickstarters and I came across the Cyber Cortex AV. Has anyone ever used one before? They sound amazing.
