  • Will this item be back in stock? Or are there other products which include the tweezer clips?

  • I’ve had a problem with these (which I got from a local Sparkfun dealer.) In mine, the spring tension overpowers the grip of the tweezers, and after a few seconds the clip pops off the wire or IC pin that it’s clipped to. As the photo shows, the bend at the tweezer tip isn’t much. Maybe it’s just a bad batch, but my next move is to make up cables with plunger/hook style clips

    • I have the same problem. Really awful clips. Definitely go for plunger/hook clips instead.

    • I’ve seen this problem when I tried to grab a piece of 30 gauge wire wrap wire, but not in ordinary usage. This is the standard design for a logic analyzer probe, because it can grab with less clearance than needed for a hook type grabber – but obviously implementation details are key to success.

  • It should be mentioned that you need two of these cables to cover the 18-pin header on the Logic Sniffer, if you’re planning on using all channels.

  • I don’t even have the board this is designed to go with, but have found it extremely useful. For example, I’ve used some breakaway headers to attach this to an FTDI cable and then used it’s clips to pick out the serial lines in a project, or the same for JTAG lines.
