SolderPro 50 Hot Knife Tip

This hot knife fits our butane soldering iron (SolderPro 50). It works well at cutting thin plastics, styrofoam, or various butters.

The tip is iron-chrome plated to withstand long periods of soldering time. More specifically, the copper shell is iron plated to resist erosion, chrome plated to resist corrosion and tinned to provide efficient heat transfer. These processes provide maximum tip life for extended usages.

I'd be a bit worried about it coming into contact with rapidly-oxidizing butane, but I've had some bad experiences with fire and facial hair so that's just my nerves talking. (Let's just say, "a devil's goatee of pure flame" isn't nearly as great as it sounds.)
Now if I could get this tip to interface with my cheap Bernz-o-matic micro-torch deal, that would be almost as epic as a flaming goatee.
