Replacement: None. There is no direct replacement for this board. This page is for reference only.

This is a simple breakout board for the Melexis gyroscope featuring both analog and digital (SPI) interfaces. Designed for dead reckoning navigation applications, the MLX90609-N2 is a 75 degree/s max rate gyro with low drift and programmable bandwidth, this gyro is perfect for digital stabilization and control.

You can tell this chip from our other Melexis gyros by the fact that is has no colored dots.

Near as I can tell (and assuming I did the math right), this board constrains the bandwidth on the gyro to about 36 Hz (-3dB point). Am I correct? Can I replace the cap with smaller one and increase the -3dB point to, say, 100 Hz? TIA

Eh, I think 36 Hz will be fine. My system's dynamics are unlikely to be faster than that.
