SparkFun Stickers

Replacement:SWG-11354. We have new stickers!! This page is for reference only.

When leaving soldering iron burns on something is not enough, use these stickers to leave (or cover up) your mark. Classic RTFM says what you mean without saying it. Stickers come with postcard backing so you can send as a friendly 'Hello'. When was the last time you sent a post card anyway?

Why the hell don't these come with ($20.00+ maybe) orders by default?
Not that sparkfun really needs all that much more oomph behind the word-of-mouth effect, but the flame is as iconic as the Apple apple in some circles.
These will show up everywhere if you pack them for free, and I won't have to curse each time I forget to include them in an order.
Even if I am ordering frequently, I will find places for them. At least make it a check-out option or upsell.
...in brief retrospect, I think this is the most opinionated comment I have left at SFE - maybe I just like stickers...

    FIRST!

    • Dude, those stupid "FIRST!! WOOOHOOOO!!!! I'M SO HAPPY!!!!! THIS IS THE BEST MOMENT OF MY LIIIIFFFFEEEEE!!!!!1!!11!!ONE!1!!" comments should be a felony!

The stickers are much higher in quality now. Unless you've got some kind of corrosive or rubbing alcohol on your hands, they won't smudge. Can't say the same for your pen ink on the back if you decide to use it as a postcard, though.

It'd be nice to have the rulers next to the sheet.

  • Yeah, my fiance has an 'RTFM' sticker on her thermos for work and after 6 months it's fine. We must have had a bad batch.

I was excited to see these in stock, and so many of them. Then I read the comments about the poor quality and how easy they are to smear. Let me know when you get some good vinyl ones made. Or maybe I can take your logos across the street to the sign and sticker place that does ours... ;-)

After buying a few of these I have 2 suggestions:
1.) Use ink that doesn't smear (so lame! I passed these out to cowokers, one tried to put it on his iPhone and it smeared before he'd applied it!)
2.) I know the flame is the sparkfun logo, but could we get a mirrored flame?

these are pretty badly printed - the ink smudges by touching it, so putting it on a phone etc means that its looking like crap the first time you use it, and one on my monitor got smudged just putting it on and smoothing it out.
They are also a matt finish so I dont know how long they will last on my car, but we shall see...
