If I just replace the 8Mhz resonator with 16Mhz and use external power supply of 5 Volts. I think I can run this at 16Mhz. Of course we will need to replace the following line in boards.txt as follows.
Old content
“mega2560v.build.f_cpu=8000000L”
New content
“mega2560v.build.f_cpu=16000000L”
In the schematics I see that the AREF is not connected to VCC. Is’t this wrong? I tested it and it seems to think that AREF is VCC ( 5v) but how can it do so when AFREF is not connected to VCC, I have no idea.
The schematics of 5V and the 3.3 Arduino Pro mini seems to be the same. So I was wondering what is the exact difference. It is just the crystal frequency and the Voltage regulator?
Thanks

I intend to drive standard RC controlled servos using two signals. I will have a select wire which will choose which signal the servo is to respond to. Can I use this chip do that selection? I have a feeling that it will work OK.
Thanks
I Intend to use this to transfer telemetry data from an RC plane. I was wondering if this would interfere with the RC spread radio radio which also works at 2.4 GHz. There are other filers as well and I would hate to be reason for their plane/heli crash.
Thanks

Does anybody see any issue with this? Thanks
