Is there any harm in changing the grid to a finer resolution to get the traces to land neatly on the pads of SMD’s as long as I keep within the board house’s 8 mil spacing?
My micro is running on its own external power. Do I need to connect my board’s 5V/GND with the 5V/GND of the FTDI breakout? This is confusing me. I don’t want to source power from the USB.
The 0E version comes with the Atmega168 but the firmware available is for the ATmega8. Can you release an update or give some tips on what to do to update the firmware? I’m ready to test my soldering skillz!

Thanks for the quick response. Do I leave the grounds isolated as well?
