We bought this touch screen last year for a project we made (http://reseau.erasme.org/Interactive-Globe-technical). It’s very easy to work with, and does a great job for our purpose. It’s also pretty scratch safe, since it has been in a public exhibit for several months without visible scratch.

jamis : you usually can find some in floppy drives. I just scrounged 2 of them there.
Also, many things with small motors probably contains some (VCR, hard drives).
