Hey Sciguy, any chance you can provide a bit more info on how you did this? I am trying to get a set of Xbee’s working with a Fio board without having to buy an FTDI breakout board or cable. I did get the Xbee (series 1) Wireless Kit with the USB Explorer. Assuming from your post that I can use that as an FTDI breakout board to program the radios? Can you explain any of the steps you took to do so (software, hardware steps) – I am a bit of a noob and am lost in various different articles saying there is one definitive way to do this (though all are different and require more gear than I have).
