We provide a video introduction to the keyboard project so your students can get an idea of what they will be building in the tutorial.
Duration: One 50-minute class period

As part of this project, students apply existing knowledge to generate a new product (standard 1.a) and demonstrate understanding of technology concepts and systems (standard 6).

The Electronic Keyboard project relies on parts found within the SparkFun Inventor's Kit. The SIK is a great way for students to get started with programming and physical computing based on the popular Arduino platform. The kit contains all the components and instructions necessary for completing 16 circuits and can be taken further to make projects, like an electronic keyboard!
