Comments: Using an LCD on the Edison

Good morning I followed the tutorial to the letter, but the display shows me a white screen and how I start the python program appear many lines. giving me this error : lcd._print("Text 1\n") File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pyupm_ili9341.py", line 741, in <lambda > getattr = lambda self, name: _swig_getattr(self, ILI9341, name) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pyupm_ili9341.py", line 74, in _swig_ge tattr return _swig_getattr_nondynamic(self, class_type, name, 0) File "/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pyupm_ili9341.py", line 69, in _swig_ge tattr_nondynamic return object.getattr(self, name) AttributeError: type object 'object' has no attribute 'getattr'
What version of the Edison are you using?
configure_edison --version159.devkit
It seems that particular version may have some issues: https://communities.intel.com/thread/67295?start=0&tstart=0. You may want to try 159, as mentioned in that thread or the newest (3.0) release (although, I haven't tested the ili9341 driver on 3.0 yet).
I followed the directions to install the version 159, but I find 159.devkit. you have a direct link to download that version.
