Every year we celebrate Ada Lovelace Day - an annual event named after Ada Lovelace, widely believed to be the first computer programmer, and a hero to decades of STEM workers of any gender. The yearly celebration aims to raise the profile of women in science, technology, engineering and math by encouraging people around the world to talk about the women whose work they admire. At SparkFun we believe in empowering the future of women in STEM, and we're proud to have become a partner of Finding Ada to help spread the word and inspiration to the next generation of women in STEM. Today (and every day), we celebrate a small fraction of the volumes of hard work our smart, amazing women have contributed to SparkFun over the years, thanks in part to STEM pioneers like Ada Lovelace.
