Hello, and welcome one and all to another Friday Product Post! Today we are happy to prop up, propagate, and propose these two new shields from our friends at PJRC. Once you see these new boards it will be hard to NOT think up fantastic new projects. Without further ado, let's see what Shawn has to show us today!

Shawn looks so proper in that lab coat! ...Sorry

Teensy Prop Shield

The Teensy Prop Shield is meant for making interactive light and sound effects on small, handheld props and wearable costumes. This shield features 10DoF (Degrees of Freedom) motion sensors, a 2-Watt audio amp, high-speed 5V buffers for driving APA102 LEDs, and an 8MB flash memory for images, sound clips or data logging. This little board is about the size of the Teensy 3.2, just slightly longer to allow space for mounting holes and connections for power, speaker and LEDs.

This lower-cost (LC) Prop Shield is identical to the standard Prop Shield seen above, except the motion sensors are removed. This shield still possesses the audio amp, LED driver and 8MB flash memory. Keep in mind that this shield can be used with the Teensy 3.2 and is not restricted to use only with other "LC" models.

Speaking of the Teensy 3.2, if you don't already have one and want to try out these new shields, we not only have them in stock but also the low-cost version as well as special headers to hook them all up!

That's it for this week, ladies and gentlemen. Be sure to check back with us next Friday for even more new products. Maybe they will have nothing to do with each other at all; come back next week to find out. See you then!
