Although the "one cent sale" of years past was exciting, it was both a pressure to get an order into the right time slot, and "luck of the draw" would mean that you might get something that you don't have a lot of use for, or it might be a "dust collector" for quite a while (for instance, my MP3 shield is going to wait in the box at least another year for the time/energy to put together the Halloween "audio display" I have in mind for it...), I humbly think that the format of this year's "event" was nicer. I decided to "skip" the first and third weeks, as I've already got as many ProMinis as I need for the forseeable future. I also didn't use "regular" Arduinos much lately -- I'm moving more towards using Raspberry Pis and the Pi hat fits in well with a project that I've been thinking about doing for several years (namely a "data entry" system for my car to record things like odometer reading, quantity and price on gas purchases, etc. Hopefully the Pi Zero W will be able to talk to my WiFi when the car (and module) is in the garage and pass the data along, but if not, I can always use "sneaker-net". The OLED display will be nice for this project, as will the Spark-X keypad (part of the qualifying order, along with a Pi Zero W). BTW, the "small parts kit" from Week 2 will probably become part of my Ham Radio "go-kit" against minor "field repairs".

Glad you found this format a little more usable and accessible. I think it's a step in the right direction, but I hope we can improve some of our internal systems to make it easier on people in the future. Happy tinkering 773!
