This week's post is a bit smaller, but we are still getting going for the New Year. We start off with a Special Edition of the ever popular SparkFun Inventor's Kit v4.0. With all the issues everyone has been having with global supply chain shortages, we wanted to make sure these were available for everyone at a reduced price. Next up, we want to show off SparkX's Qwiic VEML7700 Ambient Light Sensor that can measure ambient light levels directly in lux. After that, we are going to finish with a Class 10 32GB microSD card and a large surface transducer. Let's jump in and take a closer look at this week's new products!

SparkFun Inventor's Kit - v4.1 (Special Edition)

KIT-19031

The SparkFun Inventor's Kit (SIK) is a great way to get started with programming and hardware interaction with the Arduino programming language. The SIK includes everything you need to complete five overarching projects consisting of 16 interconnected circuits that teach everything from blinking an LED to reading sensors. The culminating project is your very own autonomous robot! No previous programming or electronics experience is required to use this kit.

Due to global supply chain issues with some of the parts included in the SIK v4.1, we are providing this stand in replacement without the HDPE carrying case. Instead, this version of the SIK v4.1 comes in a red box at a reduced price. We expect to have this issue resolved soon. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Surface Transducer - Large

Surface Transducer - Large

COM-19102
$24.95

This large surface transducer provides you with the awesome power to turn almost any surface into a speaker. They're essentially just a speaker except instead of a cone, the coil is attached to a pad that conducts the vibration into whatever you press it against. Hook it up to an audio source and press it against the nearest table, wall or cardboard box. You can even put it against your head and play music directly into your skull.

That's it for this week. As always, we can't wait to see what you make. Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another, and we'll see you next week with even more new products! Have a great weekend, everyone!

Never miss a new product!
