Ribbon Crimp Connector - 6-pin (2x3, Female)
These 2x3 crimp connectors can be snapped onto 6-wire ribbon cable to make your own cable assemblies and keep your connections organized. Simply press the connector onto your ribbon cable, no soldering required, which makes it easy to add as many mid-cable connectors as you need.

If you plan on being a bench tech then you need a PanaVise! A necessity for electronic soldering task and it can also easily close ribbon crimp connectors without damaging the snap tabs on the connector!
I destroyed all but one connector in a small order of 3 of these. I should have used a vise to crimp the cable connections closed. Even then I find that it needs to be done with care. Too much force breaks the plastic. So now I'm reordering.
is there a way to connect these cables/connectors to the arduino output pins without any soldering?

I have a few solutions for you:
* For a little bit of money, you could buy a pair of crimpers, some housings, and some male contacts, then use the crimpers to crimp the contacts onto the wires before putting them into the housings. * If you want to do all that for free, you could order the same housings and pins from Molex's sampling program and use a pair of pliers instead of the crimpers.
* Your final option would be to get a ProtoScrewShield. This wouldn't be ideal for a permanent project, and will cost you $15 for every Arduino you want to connect.
i would love to see some connectors (sets) for permanent cables.

Or an example how you put these on the ribbon cable without problem?
It seems to be very much work to get this and the (2x5) cable/connector together without shorting them out.

Why is this 6-pin version more expensive than 10-pin version? Shouldn't the prices be opposite? This one 35 cents and 10-pin 50 cents.
