LilyPad Basics Workshop - October 21st

So, not everyone wants to build a robot set on world domination. Sometimes you just want to knit a scarf with some LEDs or stuffed kitten with eyes that glow red when the lights go out. You know, arts and crafts. This class is for people with no previous knowledge of electronics that want to get into the wonderful world of wearable technology.

Mostly, we will focus on LEDs and the basics of putting together simple circuits. Bring in your existing projects that you want to light up with LEDs and learn the basics necessary to make your next project shine! Even if you don't have something and just want to learn, that's fine too!

We will also provide you with some goodies. You will get 10 LilyPad LEDs, 2 LilyPad buttons, a slide switch, a coin cell battery holder, conductive thread, and basic tools. You will also get the finest instruction SparkFun has to offer on that particular time and date.

**Prerequisites: **Absolutely nothing. This class is for beginners and we start from scratch!

**What to bring: **Your project/costume/ideas, and maybe a bite to eat. The class can run to 7:30 or 8PM. SparkFun will provide all the tools.

Date: October 21, 2010
Time: 6:00PM to around 7:30PM
