Skinny LED RGBW Strip - Addressable, 1m, 60LEDs (SK6812)

These are skinny addressable 1-meter-long 5V RGBW LED strips that come packed with 60 SK6812s. SK6812 LEDs are very similar to WS2812s with a few caveats: SK6812s add a white LED to the classic RGB mixture allowing you to provide new varieties of color to your project! As these are bare LED strips that have no protective coating, your project won’t be water proof but there is access to each SK6812 LED and each strip length can be easily modified to fit the length you need. You will be able to control each LED RGB individually, giving you the ability to create cool lighting effects for your car or perhaps under-cabinet lighting in your kitchen!

Note: These come in 1m segments on a reel. They are preterminated with 0.1" spaced 3-pin connectors, as shown in the pictures.

Also, you may need a power supply that?s greater than 12V or more than 1A worth of current.

    I'm assuming the 50mA @ full brightness is per led?

    Are these definitely RGBW? I'm not seeing the distinctive yellow phosphor blob that RGBW LEDs have for the white element. FWIW, the difference between WS2812 and SK6812 is not the 4th channel - the SK6812 is an interface-compatible clone from a different vendor, with improvements. The SK6812s have a higher PWM frequency and are much less sensitive to voltage fluctuations than the WS2812s - no more turning yellow when the voltage droops.

      I just noticed your comment. Nice catch, these should be RGB only. Someone in our tech support made a note about the "RGBW". I was also confused since RGBW should have an additional dye for the white channel.

        I'm a little confused by the comment - are you saying the delivered parts should have been RGBW, or that the website should be describing them as RGB? If you're not shipping RGBW then the product description should really get fixed.

          Sorry for the confusion, I was in the middle of reporting that issue when I responded.

          Unfortunately, the information from two similar products were combined into each of the products released. A future product that we are currently considering was accidentally added to the product page names and descriptions. Our catalog, inventory, and support teams were handling the situation the last time that I checked. I'll be checking back with them soon to see what the status is with the products.
