Qwiic Relay

Have you ever wanted to control something powerful? Have you ever needed to turn on/off a high power device from your Arduino? Now you can with the Qwiic Relay! This device allows you to control large power loads with simple I2C commands. The Qwiic Relay is perfect for large inductive loads like DC motors.

The Qwiic Relay comes with a default I2C address but can be changed with a simple command allowing you to control over 100 Qwiic Relays on a single bus!1

The Qwiic Relay comes fully assembled and uses the simple Qwiic interface. No soldering, no voltage translation, no figuring out which pin is SDA or SCL, just plug and go!

Note: Because of minimal isolation from the top copper pour, this board is not recommended for switching dangerous loads (such as 120/220VAC) If you want to switch a lamp or a blender, please consider the pre-made IoT Power Relay. It's not I2C but the IoT Power Relay contains shielding to prevent accidental shock. You may also be interested in our Beeefcake Relay Control Kit.

Footnote 1: Toggling lots of relays on a 3.3V bus can cause voltage spikes. An external power supply will be required.

Hi! nice idea! i hope to see in the future more safe relay, and one question: what terminals do you use in this module? I want read datasheet. And my point of view: You will be able add milling for separate HV and LV and what if make open route between relay and terminals - with additional soldering? route will be thinner, distance between them and cross-sectional will be more - as a result TRUE 10A according IPC-2221

    example - CAN DELETE!

DO NOT USE this for 120V. Per the Eagle files, there is a ground pour with minimal spacing to the relay contacts and terminal block. This is extremely unsafe.

    • I agree, we're in the process of changing the product description now and possibly revising the board to work safely at spec.
