Digital Switch 2A - LTC1477

This is a digitally controlled high side switch. What's that mean? It means you use this baby to turn on or off power to a module or to an entire system. High current rating, and extremely low on resistance means that this one IC will let you easily control power to even the beefiest of circuits.

  • Extremely Low RDS(ON) Switch: 0.07 ohms
  • No Parasitic Body Diode
  • Built-In Short-Circuit Protection: 2A
  • Built-In Thermal Overload Protection
  • Operates from 2.7V to 5.5V
  • Inrush Current Limited
  • Ultralow Standby Current: 0.01?A
  • Built-In Charge Pump
  • Controlled Rise and Fall Times: tR = 1ms

      'fraid not. Note that this component is no longer part of SparkFun's catalog either :) You'll probably want something like a solid state relay such as an SCR/thyristor, triac, or more dedicated component. There's some good comments in the comments tab for the Solid State Relay - 8A that you may wish to read first as they may cover further questions/concerns you might have :)
