12 Channel Micro-miniature GR-10 GPS Receiver

Replacement: None. We are no longer stocking these modules and carry no direct replacement, however we still have a great selection of modules in the GPS category. This page is for reference only.

When a postage stamp is just too big, take a look at the MN1010. At 10x10mm in size, this is the smallest receiver we've ever sneezed and lost. With two serial ports, 35mA operating current, and high sensitivity, this miniscule receiver opens new doors for tracking. Module outputs the standard NMEA sentences at 4800bps. Please note this unit requires an antenna (which will be many times the size of the receiver itself) and has a tight 1.0mm pitch footprint. Checkout the size comparison between the EM-406A, Lassen iQ, Copernicus, and MN1010!

This product used to be called the GR-10. The GR-10 was just a MN1010 from Micro Modular with a sticker on it that read 'GR-10'. We are clearing out the remaining stock at this price.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: THIS UNIT WILL NOT WORK AT AN ALTITUDE OVER 18000 METERS (60000 FEET)
THIS UNIT WILL NOT WORK AT AN ALTITUDE OVER 18000 METERS (60000 FEET). This doesn't matter to most people, but is important to hobbyists that take part in high altitude weather ballooning, amateur rocketry, etc. Someone I know mistakenly purchased a unit with a similar limit for ballooning and I'm hoping to save people from making the same mistake.
I'm going to post this in the comments section of all similarly limited Sparkfun GPS products in the hope of saving someone from from making the same mistake. I apologize if the Sparkfun guys consider this spamming, that isn't my intent. It, also, isn't my intent to drive business away from Sparkfun. They have an awesome collection of GPS products and many of the other modules don't have this limitation.

A Bit late i suppose for these kind of questions
But i have had one sitting in my desk for ages...
and i would like to just use it...
i do have a GPS LNA 661AS but i was wondering if i could use it with any of maxims GPS LNA?
( You just have to love Maxim and TI for their sample support program)
    I have currently MAX2655, 2659 and a MAX12000 for this purpose
and i wanted to confirm that one of these could be used as a replacement for the LNA661 before i even started the schematic/layout
    Thanks in advance

Eagle Library Part? I suck at making them. If someone could help me with this, or if the Sparkfun guys could post an eagle part/put it in the SFE/EL that would be great. Thanks.
