Flame Kit - Green Plaid

This is the Flame Kit that we had available at the 2008 Austin Maker Fair e. This kit is a great beginning through-hole soldering practice board, as well as a simple development board for IR control of LEDs.

  • 1 x ATTiny13 Preprogrammed
  • 3 x LEDS: Red and Green
  • 1 x IR Optical Detector
  • 2 x 10kOhm resistors
  • 1 x Battery holder
  • 1 x 3V CR2032 coin cell battery
  • 1 x Magnet
  • 1 x PCB

    We are currently working on printed instructions. However the project is very straightforward, and usually the indications that are printed directly on the board (called silkscreen) are clear enough to assemble the kit.
    As far as what it does...it's really nothing more than a glorified "blinky thingy." There's a little black box in the lower right half of the board that detects when an object is right in front of it, when it detects a presence the lights start flashing. (i.e. if you have your hand in front of the board the lights turn on).
