I am absolutely sure this is not rated at 12V/24A, 24 amps would blow this thing up in first millisecond. In the product description, you probably forgot to add decimal place in front of the 24A.
can i install a led light indicator in there? or i have to break it?
There seems to be two different batches of these $0.95 arcade buttons. The first batch comes with a white ring and the other comes with a black ring. The black ringed ones are lower quality than the white ringed ones ones. The buttons on the black ringed ones are sharper and the tension you get from pushing the button is inconsistent between them. The plastic is also more flimsy and the contacts on the bottom aren't as clean.
The white ringed ones, on the other hand, have smoother buttons and have consistent tension between them. The contacts are clean and shiny on the bottom. I think the white ringed ones would be less prone to failure.
Here's the kicker: the picture you see here isn't necessarily the one you'll receive. I got a cheap black ringed pink button in my order, but the yellow ones I ordered were white ringed. Just be aware of this if you're planning to use these in a real arcade machine.
