Does anyone have a diagram of them connecting this up? Or any good tutorial?

This breakout seems to be extremely over priced. The 864 module is about $80, so the PCB [with nothing but holes and one connector], and soldering on the module is $70!!!
    Am I missing something?

Donny: You would use the SIM Card Breakout Board under Related Products. You can see the pinouts for it in the zoom shot (left hand side).

A previous Telit module I worked with had a SIM card slot built in. Is this the case with this break-out?

Have you guys considered using the new GE864-QUAD ANTENNA module from Telit? It's a GE864 with an embedded antenna, could be much more useful than the simple GE864. The GE864-QUAD ANTENNA can be found at http://www.telit.com/en/products/gsm-gprs.php?p_id=12&p_ac=show&p=77
