Welcome, welcome, everyone! It's Friday and that, as always, means new products. This Friday we have three new parts to show off, starting with a new Multiplexer Breakout that uses the 74HC4051 IC. Second up we have two new revisions to our popular aluminum enclosures. Without further ado, let's dive in and take a closer look!

A little video for a little board!

The SparkFun Multiplexer Breakout provides access to all pins and features of the 74HC4051, an 8-channel analog multiplexer/demultiplexer. The 74HC4051 allows you to turn four I/O pins into eight multifunctional, individually selectable signals, which can be used to do everything from driving eight LEDs to monitoring eight potentiometers.

These are our large, beefy aluminum enclosures, which have been built tough enough to withstand a truck. This 2mm-thick, die-cast enclosure is rated IP54 against dust and splashing water. Because it's aluminum, it's easy to cut and drill so that you can add LCD screens, buttons and cable connections. If you want to "pretty up" your project, hit this with some fine-grit sand paper and buff it or just spray paint it! These enclosures feature outside dimensions of 120mm x 94.5mm x 34mm.

Very similar to its sibling above, this smaller version provides the same top-notch protection you'd expect from an aluminum enclosure. These enclosures feature outside dimensions of 112mm x 61mm x 31mm.

That's it for this week, folks. We'll meet you back here next Friday with more new products. See you then!
