&lt;p&gt;Personally I wouldn&amp;rsquo;t go with this red, unless you really like the color (and I suspect you&amp;rsquo;d find greater affinity with a green one), and instead go with the more common white, and wouldn&amp;rsquo;t be stingy about it; the &amp;lsquo;translucent white&amp;rsquo; listed in the related products below, for example, does have a number of comments that indicate greater quality is to be had from brand name breadboards.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If you do get a breadboard, check out SparkFun&amp;rsquo;s breadboard-related products - the breadboard power supplies, for example, should prove to be very useful :)&lt;/p&gt;</content>

On the other hand, I really can&amp;rsquo;t think of many instances where the offset would matter much. Off-hand the only things I can think of in a package where the offest would matter that could usefully be tied directly to a terminal strip would be DIP switchs or maybe a resistor network&amp;hellip;&lt;/p&gt;

<content type="html">&lt;p&gt;You should note to users that, while it will accept 20 AWG it is not recommended. Using 20 AWG will stretch out the metal retainer clips and basically ruin the breadboard. That is what happened to mine.&lt;/p&gt;</content>
