<content type="html">&lt;p&gt;Nope - they&amp;rsquo;re just the metal snaps.  You would typically use conductive thread to connect them to other things, such as LEDs which could then light up based on, for example, whether or not a male/female snap pair is snapped together.&lt;/p&gt;</content>
