I'm sure this switch wasn't meant for use with 3D printers, but I've seen people suggest this kind of switch for 3D printing, so I wanted to report that this particular model is probably not suitable for that task. With the 1A supply I normally use, though, this thing had worked perfectly and is highly recommended.</p></p>

The switch is rated at 2A; it's equivalent to COM-11477 except it's a little wider. Did I say the barrel size is 2.1mm? Yep, it's 2.1mm, unless they happen to send you one that's 2.5mm.</p>
