I find these really handy. They really keep a project nice and neat. Most of my prototypes use these for the mostly-fixed connections, and the Molex-terminated jumpers (like PRT-10897) for connections I’m experimenting with a lot.

I do wish there were 45mm wires included for bridging the power rails on opposite sides of a breadboard.

I wish someone would come out with a pre-cut jumper wire kit that has every size in every color! I do not use "red" for "loooong" functions, I use it for "Vcc". Blue or black is usually "ground/0V", not "medium length wire".

I'm still looking for a collection of jumper wires like I'm describing. It sounds like @FND117 is saying that this box includes varied colors & lengths — did they change this product at some point?

Would have been ordering one if the kit also included BLACK wires in the same length as the red ones...

I am a fan of this collection of jumpers. I LIKE that they are varied lengths and colors. It makes it much easier to do a neat custom job on my boards. Please don't "organize" them into color coded lengths! I constantly need to use all different lengths of each color. Thanks.

I just KNOW that i will lose the 2mm pieces the minute I open the box.

I love jumper wires, but these are great for fixed distance on a breadboard. It would be awesome if you offered variances of this kit that left out the long types and included just wires that would bridge 2,3,4,5 traces on a breadboard. I never have enough of those, for bridging power, ground, two pins, etc. Using jumpers for those connections adds to the rats nest. Using these makes nice clean straight traces on the breadboard for those common connections. Mouser and others sell individual lengths in packs, but it would be really nice to see those here. I could attach those to my bigger purchases here to combine shipping. People will buy individual sizes in quantity. At least I would.

I saw this kit first from a friend and was amazed by how well thought out it was, so naturally i ordered two. However, what i got were really shitty wires, curvy, some weren't even bent properly and the color respective to each lenght was different (also two colors had the same length). That was my main selling point, that the color helped out to sort out which wire to use! AND, there's another kit that IS assembled properly with 25 pieces of each length that costs about 9 dollars on amazon! I really can't stress enough how disappointed I am with this purchase...

This is amazing i love it!!! It helps so much!

  • I got the nearly identical one from The Shack and my only complaint is that they aren't very flexible, they're almost as stiff as paper clips of the same gauge.

    • Pearce / about 13 years ago / 2

I too dislike the rigidity of these, I prefer using the Premium Jumper Wires instead, they're much more flexible.

      • Yeah, it comes down to what you want. There are stiff, and it's best if you use pliers to insert the pins into your breadboard. However, if you have a mess of wires, the normal jumpers can come out very easily. These stay in if you're using multiple boards and such.

        • I find that using these for breadboard-like soldered protoboard is the best usage. You save A LOT of assembly time and the wiring isn't ending ina cludge of spaghetti. For the classic breadboard prototyping, I tend to use SFE jump wire for the same reason than Pearce. (truly a time saving beauty!)

if it came with the breadboard in the picture, that would be epic. :)

  • i love these

I didn't get this kit, but I have one very very similar to this one. I love the way you have a size to fit almost any distance on a bradboard perfectly.

Surprised there are no comments for this product yet.
I'd just like to say I'm extremely happy with them - beats the heck out of stripping your own wires each time, especially for the small 2-10mm sections.
    Very useful!

Great kit but better if sealed

The plastic box was broken (lid had broken off bottom) when I opened the shipment this morning, and consequently there were wires all over the box and packing material. I expect I am going to love having this kit, but it would have been better if the plastic box had been wrapped in plastic or taped shut.

It does what a jumper wire kit should

It jumps wires........jump jump jump..

Jumper wire kit is alright

There are many wire lengths to choose from. However, I needed a certain length and it wasn't there.

Does the Job

Works great and does the job, nice set of jumper wires.

Just right.

Nice lengths, and 22 awg is a good size for me to build my prototypes (30 awg is too small for me). Cheerful colors, especially the orange ones.

Great products!

We loved the quick delivery and ease of ordering. The products are just as advertised.

Functional, Great Variety

This kit perfectly was just what I was looking for. The variety in sizes was perfect. Fully functional as well.

Great product

essential for prototyping

Best purchase since my Arduinos

No longer do I have rats nests' of 6" jumper cables. These pre-cut wires are the perfect handy addition to an Arduino and breadboard. My circuits not only look neater and are easier to store, but by using small wires instead of 6" jumpers, I can place the components closer together, freeing up more space on the breadboard.

Very, very happy I purchased these.
