bboyho on SEN-14534 - Walabot Starterbboyhourn:uuid:2b64e540-0e54-c70a-f173-1209a3ae0ad62018-02-19T16:06:43-07:00<p>The Walabot Starter is capable of basic range measurements and monitoring breathing patterns.<p>If you are using the "thin paper" to protect the board like an enclosure, it is possible to fix the Walabot:</p><pre><code>... to the surface of your project, or to its cover. Make sure that the front cover is nonmetallic (e.g.plastic) and preferably thin (not exceeding 2mm). Make sure that the front side with the antennas is facing outwards.
</code></pre><p>This is explained in section <a href="https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/learn_tutorials/7/2/4/walabot-tech-brief-416.pdf" rel="nofollow">8. Mechanical Data</a> under Walabot datasheet. I verified this note when writing the tutorial.</p><p>Unfortunately, the Starter is not able to do <em>short range imaging</em> due to the amount of antennas it has available. This is explained in the hookup guide as a note => <a href="https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/getting-started-with-walabot" rel="nofollow">Getting Started with Walabot</a>.</p><pre><code>Note: Due to the limitations of the Walabot Starter, it is not able view objects behind walls.
