NEMA17-16-06PD-AMT112S 1.4A Stepper motor with Encoder

Added to your shopping cart

CUI’s Stepper Servo Motors combine a NEMA stepper motor with the AMT11 series incremental encoders to provide a dependable motor and motion control feedback solution. Ths NEMA stepper motor features up to 0.445N-m holding torque, digitally set zero position, patented capacitive encoder ASIC technology, and incremental resolutions up to 4096PPR. The NEMA stepper motors with incremental encoder can be paired with a controller to provide closed-loop feedback for a complete servo system. The incremental encoder can be programmed via AMT Viewpoint™ software without removing the encoder from the motor.

NOTE This product requires a cable with a JAE FI-W17S connector for hookup. Like TOL-16261.

Hello, I see that the CUI AMT112S has a serial interface. Is it just for programming the encoder (like the zero position) or it sends also the value of the rotations or the signal A or B through the UART? Thank you

This question might be best directed at CUI. The AMT112S datasheet lists, "controller driven by onboard Microchip PIC18F25K80. See Microchip documentation for additional details." for the serial interface. Unfortunately, we don't have one we carry them in our warehouse, so I can't just run down and test that.

Does this unit come with a CUI provided encoder interface cable?

You can purchase one (part number AMT-17C-1-036) at either of CUI's distributors, Digikey and Mouser Electronics. Direct links to the products are (please cut & paste):

It does not. We are looking to add that to our catalog soon.
