  • Which LIPO charger can I use in combination with this wireless receiver to charge this lipo battery (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13856)?

That being said, it looks like the TX module is already linked above: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15935

      • Hello Santa, The TX module is used to wirelessly send energy to the RX module. The RX module should charge the LIPO battery. But the RX module provides 12V. I assumed we cannot simply connect this RX output to a LIPO battery in order to charge the LIPO battery. Also, the specs of the lipo battery states: "Do not attempt to charge these with anything but a charger specifically designed for Lithium Polymer batteries.".

For that reason I was looking for a 'LIPO charger' we can connect the output of the RX Module to, so that LIPO charger has the juice to charge the LIPO battery. I'm green to all of this. Maybe I'm overcomplicating things. Just asking ...

        • Ahh... my apologies for the confusion; I was thought you were looking for how to get power to the receiver. I believe the only charger that we carry that can utilize a 12V input is the Sunny Buddy, but it wasn't designed for this application and won't be able to utilize the maximum current from the receiver.

          • Second reply: Can I propose a product for sparkfun to develop? The Wireless Buddy! It is the ideal LIPO charger to get that Lipo battery charged using a Wireless RX module. Simply connect the RX module and you're set. When the battery is charged (or being charged), this Wireless Buddy can provide power to two seperate MicroControllers. This Wireless Buddy will enable any maker to provide power to any mobile project. Please vote for this product idea by liking this post!

          • Ah no problem, thanks for your feedback sofar, it helps to get these things clarified. As I now understand, next to the Sunny Buddy, we need a "Wireless Buddy", to get the LIPO charged and to power a mobile project. But we dont have that. Ok, I guess, no wireless charging in my project for now then.

  • Does this support Qi?
