Arduino MKR WAN 1310 Evaluation Board provides a practical and cost-effective solution to add LoRa® connectivity to projects that require low power. This open-source evaluation board features an Atmel SAMD21 low power processor, Murata's CMWX1ZZABZ LoRa® module, and the MKR family characteristic crypto chip. The crypto chip adds security by storing credentials and certificates in the embedded secure element. This MKR WAN 1310 evaluation board includes a new battery charger, a 2MB SPI flash, and an improved control of boards power consumption. The low-power architecture improves battery life and allows to use USB port to supply 5V power to the board or run the board with/without batteries.
This evaluation board comes with data logging and other OTA ( Over The Air) functions that permit configuration files transfer from infrastructure to the board. This characteristic also allows creating own scripting commands or storing data locally to send when connectivity is the best. The MKR WAN 1310 evaluation board is ideally used for IoT node and building blocks for low-power wide-area IoT devices.
