Mikroe Mikromedia 5 for TIVA Capacitive

Added to your shopping cart

Mikroe Mikromedia 5 for TIVA Capacitive is a compact development board designed as a complete solution for the rapid development of multimedia and GUI-centric applications. The Mikromedia 5 board features USB, Ethernet, WiFi, and RF connectivity options. The device also has a digital motion sensor, battery-charging functionality, piezo-buzzer, SD card reader, RTC, and much more. The MIkromedia 5 has more functions beyond multimedia. It has two standardized 1x26 pin headers that expose the available MCU pins, adding another layer of expandability. Connectivity can be further expanded with several mikroBUS™ sockets, additional connectors, peripherals, and more.

  • 5" TFT display with capacitive touch screen
  • Powerful graphics controller with 24-bit color palette (16.7 million colors)
  • DSP-powered embedded sound CODEC IC
  • No additional hardware modifications required
  • Powerful 32-bit Texas Instruments TM4C129XNCZADI3 microcontroller
  • Four mounting holes at all four corners allow simple installation with mounting screws
  • Nice stylish casing
  • WiFi module labeled as CC3100 enables WiFi connectivity offering the TCP/IP stack, a powerful crypto engine with 256-bit AES support, WPA2 security, SmartConfig™ technology, and much more
  • Dedicated audio CODEC IC, labeled as VS1053B supports many different audio formats, commonly found on various digital audio devices
  • Programmed and debugged over the JTAG/SWD compatible 2x5-pin header
  • FXOS8700CQ advanced integrated 3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis magnetometer detects many different motion-related events
  • Two independent controllers, the Raster Controller and the LCD Interface Display Driver (LIDD) controller
  • Power Supply Unit (PSU) provides a clean and regulated power, necessary for a proper operation of the mikromedia 5
  • microSD card slot allows storing large amounts of data externally, on a microSD memory card
  • USB peripheral module, allowing simple USB connectivity
  • Ethernet controller is integrated in TM4C129L(X)NCZAD microcontroller, with a variety of useful features
  • The RTC peripheral utilizes a separate power supply source, typically a battery
  • An ambient light sensor (ALS) can be used for dimming the screen intensity in low-light conditions
  • An infrared (IR) receiver with the integrated PIN diode and a demodulation section allows simple control over an IR remote controller to be implemented
  • The MCP9700A, an integrated low-power linear active thermistor allows measurement of the ambient temperature
  • A high-brightness RGB LED option can be used to provide visual feedback in a very simple way
  • Headers & On-Off switch
  • Most of the host MCU pins are routed to the two 1x26 pin headers, making them available for further connectivity
  • Reset button located on the front side of the board, used to generate a LOW logic level on the microcontroller reset pin
