This is an amazing package! A low cost development tool providing real time emulation of the PIC16F87x microcontrollers with built-in In-Circuit-Debugging. You program your microcontroller, execute your program step by step or in real time with breakpoints, and even watch the microcontroller's memory and registers. More information can be found on Microchip's web site. The ICD directly attaches to all Olimex Development boards.

Will this work with usbRS232 converters? anyone have any experience w/ this?
A little late to answer this question but this debugger (the original ICD) has been obsolete for years. As of 8/18/2010, you should be considering a PICKit-3 or ICD-3.
