MPLAB Compatible Tiny-ICD2 with RS232 (Sale)

**Replacement: **None. There is no direct replacement for this programmer. It was retired due to poor sales. This page is for reference only.

The new, lower cost Tiny-ICD2 has all the functionality of the much higher priced ICD2 from Microchip! Compact, low cost development tool providing real time emulation for all PICs with build-in ICD feature. Operates through RS232 only. A complete replacement of Microchip's MPLAB-ICD2. More information can be found on the Microchip web site.

Unit requires a 15VDC 2.1x5.5mm center positive external power supply. We do not currently carry an adapter of this size but you might try Jameco or Digikey.

Note: MPLab 8.xx has a bug that affects the RS232 interface on the ICD2. If using version 8.xx of Microchip's MPLab, you will need to use an ICD2 with a USB interface (available in the related items below) or any of the version 7.xx IDEs. This bug affects not only Olimex ICD2s, but the original MPLab ICD2 from Microchip as well.
