Yes this unit can be easily connected to a micro-controller

Great for watching for overheating of IC's, motors, inductors,... A little silly putty and you can mount it at the optimal angle for sensing and viewing the screen. I place it ideally ~2" away from the target. The Lock function enables hands free operation with continuous reads. The timeout is also kind to the battery.
Yeah, has anyone found a simply interface solution for this device? Perhaps a analog line to an ADC or digital from the connector.

Wondering can this be modified for a computer port? The A, G, C, D, V connections on the bottom of the PCB look interesting.

Battery Replacement
It it important to turn the unit off before replacing the battery otherwise the Temp Gun may malfunction. In fact, it could cause a tear in the fabric of the Universe, and all of existence may be erased. You don't want that.
