PIC-PG1 is a programmer based on the JDM design which takes all necessary signals and power supply from RS232 serial port. It uses a 6 pin 0.1\"" step ICSP connector to connect to the target board. Simple, yet extremely useful. The PG1 works very well in conjunction with all Olimex PIC Development boards. It can also be used with bread boards utilizing a Polarized ICSP Header or with simple jumper wires.
Caution: The programmer may not work with low power serial interfaces - i.e. laptop or notebook serial ports. USB to serial cables have also not been proven to work.
