4D Systems' uLCD-32032-P1T(SGC) is a feature-rich serial display module which combines a 3.2" TFT LCD with an integrated touch screen, uSD card socket, an audio amplifier, and more! Everything on this beautiful LCD can be easily controlled via a well defined serial interface.
Powerful graphics, text, image, animation and countless more features are built inside the module. It offers a simple yet effective serial interface to any host micro-controller that can communicate via a serial port. All screen related functions are sent using a simple protocol via the serial interface.

why do you guys insist on stocking super expensive products like this? that serial command set doesn't seem like such a huge advantage, and it'll be slooooow

Ok, not exactly low-cost. But it isn't just a display with touch screen, it's more with programmable processor, uSD card adapter, audio, GPIO...
I don't know. It's hardly a bargain, but I guess there is also worse deals out there.
I have to agree as well. However, it really isn't Sparkfun's fault on the price. If you go to 4D Systems the price would probably be the same or higher. If 4D systems really want to sell displays at a price like this the It needs to be able to do a lot of stuff such as displaying webpages in HTML for example. I really don't see the point in 4D Systems selling a low resolution screen for this price especially when the display is slooooooooooooooooow. I have the uOLED-32024-P1 and I'm sending commands at 115200 with a picmicro which allowed me to get the display to speed up reponse in displaying circles, text and rectangles.
I think I have to side with frank26080115 here. $175 isn't exactly what I'd call "low-cost". For another 4 bucks one could buy an iPod Touch for example.
