Dog House for the BeagleBoard xM

The Dog House for BeagleBoard xM is a sturdy, lightweight, powder-coated aluminum case for the Beagle Board xM. The Dog House by itself weighs just 4.5 ounces (127 grams) - with the Beagle Board xM mounted, the package weighs less than 7 ounces. A three piece design including a lid, wrapper, and baseplate makes assembling a breeze, not to mention the built-in standoffs with 4-40 fasteners to secure your board to the baseplate.

Built-in mounting feet make it easy to attach your Beagle Board xM anywhere like under a desk, in the ceiling or on the wall. You can even insert small rubber feet (not included) if you need to set it on your desk.

Please refer to the video below for an easy assembly guide and to see it up close as the enclosure is put together.

Please put Sportvision on the list for three of these units. My e-mail is boboconnell@sportvision.com, and I will be happy to forward payment as soon as you require it. Thank you. Bob O'Connell (650)208-2433 (mobile)

Mine also came with 1/2 inch 4-40's. What's the deal?. Looks like the standoffs line up at least....

I apologize if you got 1/2" 4-40's in your fastening kit. I'll make arrangements with Sparkfun to supply them with the 1/4" screws and circle back with our manufacturer to find out why 1/2"'s went out with the kits. I'll also try to get ahold of the RMA'd unit to see if there's a tolerance issue either with the xM board or the sheet bending of the enclosure. Either way, we expect it to fit as it does in the assembly video, so if it doesn't, something has changed and I'd like to find out what it is.

I guess its better than sitting on the desk naked, but as the other person below mentioned they shipped the wrong 4-40 which leaves the beagle board loose. Also have alignment issues. Not happy with the product for the money spent. Go elsewhere

After trying for a good bit of time it won't fit at all. I reached for the dremel and then realized I spent money on this. RMA this puppy back

Looks nice, but my BeagleBoard xM does not fit. The cut outs for the USB ports are misaligned as is the DB9 connector. Also came with 1/2" 4-40 screws for the standoffs instead of the 1/4" used in the assembly video. Would not recommend.

    Very nice and sturdy.

A few con's:
1) you won't see the internal LEDs
2) once mounted, no access to expansion connectors
3) it will make the Beagleboard appear bigger than it actually is.
