Description: PICAXE-28X1 microcontroller chip. Enhanced PICAXE28 chips with 8x memory and many additional features such as i2c bus support.

PICAXE is a neat entry-level microcontroller system that is relatively cheap to get started with. The chip is programmed with a simple serial connection and the BASIC development environment is free! PICAXE has some excellent educational applications and support, and is a great entryway into more complicated embedded systems. If you’re look for a place to start with microcontrollers, PICAXE is a great way to go!

Customer Comments

  • If I run this bad boy with a 3.3 volt Supply, would the Output Pins push out 3.3v? I want to test certain sensors and things to an FPGA board and the I2c on this is hammer/chisel simple compared to the FPGA since I am not an expert, this would expedite me bench testing certain designs.

  • easiest microcontroller to program out there. I’ve been turned from the world of DLC’s to cheap easy micros and i’m not looking back
