Description: This is a low power, single axis yaw gyro from ST Microelectronics with a 300°/s maximum range. Options include integrated low pass filters and an embedded power down feature. Outputs both a 1x and 4x amplified, analog voltage proportional to the sensed angular-rate. Comes in an LGA-16 pin package.

  • typo in the title (“Axes”)

  • Heads up to Eagle users: as of 11-3-09 the sparkfun Eagle library has an incorrect symbol for this part. The package is correct but the symbols has the pins labeled incorrectly.
    Overall I am impressed by the perforance/cost of this (based on the datasheet I haven’t tried it yet).
