Luxeon Rebel LED Breakout - Warm White Triple Play

Replacement: None. We are no longer carrying this LED breakout in our catalog. This page is for reference only.

This is a simple breakout board of three high-intensity Luxeon Rebel LEDs - all warm white in color.

This breakout board fits both our narrow and wide triple-LED lenses, the drill holes and LED placements fit those lenses perfectly.

These lights are extremely bright, with supply currents between 350mA and 700mA. The board can therefore dissipate close to 6.5W. A heatsink is recommended. Look in related products for one specially made for this.

Watch out for a mating driver board coming soon!

Luxeon Rebel LED Breakout - Warm White Triple Play Product Help and Resources

Core Skill: Soldering

This skill defines how difficult the soldering is on a particular product. It might be a couple simple solder joints, or require special reflow tools.

2 Soldering

Skill Level: Rookie - The number of pins increases, and you will have to determine polarity of components and some of the components might be a bit trickier or close together. You might need solder wick or flux.

Core Skill: Electrical Prototyping

If it requires power, you need to know how much, what all the pins do, and how to hook it up. You may need to reference datasheets, schematics, and know the ins and outs of electronics.

2 Electrical Prototyping

Skill Level: Rookie - You may be required to know a bit more about the component, such as orientation, or how to hook it up, in addition to power requirements. You will need to understand polarized components.

Are there any mechanical drawings for this? It would be useful to know where the mounting holes live.

Does anyone know if the current draw on this would be too great for an arduino?

Can I hook this up to an Arduino and run it with a 9 volt battery pack?

I'm trying to wire this up for an indoor lighting application. Does anybody know the best way to build a dimming function to this?
    Thanks

Look into pulse width modulation or PWM. The Arduino is a handy way to pull this off.

If you look at the Data Sheet on this page, the part# LXML-PWC1-0090 is listed as Neutral-White not Warm-White. Three other LEDs are listed as Warm-White, but not the LXML-PWC1-0090.
This should be named "Neutral-White Triple Play".
