  • Anyone have a solution to set the ethernet IP to a static value? I edited /etc/network/interfaces and added for eth0, yet restarting networking, even a reboot, and the BBB V.C is still getting assigned a DHCP addy. Actually, ifconfig doesn’t reflect any of my changes at all. I would also like to know how to get rid of the hand-holding default server/web page that shows when I address the board from my LAN at the DHCP address it has. [ip]/Support/bone101/ is what I’m talking about. Don’t need it, don’t want it. I plan on turning into a LAMP server with WEBMIN. Thank you!

  • I love jumper wires, but these are great for fixed distance on a breadboard. It would be awesome if you offered variances of this kit that left out the long types and included just wires that would bridge 2,3,4,5 traces on a breadboard. I never have enough of those, for bridging power, ground, two pins, etc. Using jumpers for those connections adds to the rats nest. Using these makes nice clean straight traces on the breadboard for those common connections. Mouser and others sell individual lengths in packs, but it would be really nice to see those here. I could attach those to my bigger purchases here to combine shipping. People will buy individual sizes in quantity. At least I would.

  • How does this technology react to water? I mean, specifically, if I aim it at a tub of water, will a change in water level be something this device can detect? I fear the water will absorb the emitted energy and not reflect back at all. Has anyone tried this?

I want to use this device to detect my expensive malfunctioning G.E. washer’s water level in the washing tub, from the lid.

  • I have been getting that “Something broke” page intermittently since early this morning, and again just now. =(

  • Agreed. I think the price on this is way over inflated. I was going to add to my cart but had second thoughts. Now those thoughts are not only confirmed, but negative.

No public wish lists :(
