  • I’m pretty close to returning all the Pro Mirco’s I have….

    Questions: 1.) Why was the choice to not have the RESET pin in the same location as the Pro Mini? 2.) Why on EARTH would you not break out the SS pin (#17) but connect it to an RX LED?

    3.) Regarding #2 above, how can you get or re-assign/re-map the SS pin to another pin so it can actually be used? I am trying to use this with (currently) a USB Host (Mini) Shield… but I’d imagine other SPI devices will have same problem…

    Is there something that needs to be done with the Arduino IDE? Or perhaps done with the USB Host Shield 2.0 library itself? If it IS the USB HOst 2.0 lib… then what happens with other PSI devices?

    Please post any links or tuts that addresses this issue.. :)

    Sparkfun forum has led to zero responses… anybody ‘here’ that can provide some help?

  • Thanks for clarifying about the FTDI programmer/useage.

    Can you comment on the ‘tutorials’? They mention they come ‘pre-loaded’ on the kickstarter page.. do these too come with the tutorials ‘built-in’ as well? or a place to download them/view them externally at least?

  • Can you use a regular FTDI programmer instead? Or does the MicroView REQUIRE you to purchase/use this?

  • Does this (SP branded/version) come with the ‘tutorials’ pre-loaded on it?

    I dont need all the extra components from the kickstarter.. (I have enough of my own leds, resistors..etc to not have to re-pay for them).. but getting the complete ‘kit’ with tutorials and what not IS important to me..

    Also same question as posted previously… if I have my own FTDI programmers… can I use that instead?

  • Can ‘we’ get a clear answer/link? What can be used to re-charge these Li-Po batteries??

    Specifically these 40mA Li-Po’s.. (and the 110mA ones too),… I read talk of chips…changing this or that..

    Is there a product sold that can re-charge these?
    If not…. should probably be noted..

    If the only way is to buy an existing product (ie: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/10401) and then altering it somehow,..then that also should be noted, with a clear diagram/outline/tutorial on exactly needs to be done..

    Just a simple product that ‘works’… to re-charge these and the 100mA ones)

    (this is all new to me/out of my comfort zone for now still….but,..)

    Can you (anyone) explain how this works and for the PI or ODroidX (which also supports Ubuntu and Android) it does not?

    (again noob speaking here so this may be incorrect).. but I thought those other boards, while supporting Android/Ubuntu, needed an ARM based Flash Player plug-in? Is that not the case here for the pcDuino? (Im missing something here? a bridge why ones works and not the other?)

    to be clear.. I am NOT talking about being able to load a a web browser and use YouTube..

    Id like to be able to load/display/run a true .swf file (embedded into an HTML doc or not).. and have this also ‘use/communicate’ with a web cam hat is also hooked up to the pcDuino..

    (the flash code/document will handle all camera control..etc… if it works like a PC does)

    unfortunately.. most of my experience is with Windows and PC.. not hardware like this and Ubuntu/Android (so Im not fully aware of the limitations/restrictions I’ll be facing?)

  • Can this run/play (Adobe) Flash files then? or does this suffer from same problem as DroidX and Pi…etc.. no ARM based Flash Player plug-in that ‘really’ works? (Please no bashing Flash… keep it to facts about getting it to run/work)

    I think some have gotten YouTube to work (hardly sums up Flash based apps/movies though)..but was slow?.. still not even sure if that worked.. just random comments on it.

    Id would be to have a web cam connected to this ‘board’.. run/play a flash file (locally?) that in turns plays/shows whatever the flash animation/movie does.. (along with turn on/use the Webcam…and put its flash animation over the web cam feed)

    on a PC this is a no brainer…. but un-clear about getting it to work of this hardware/board??

    Anybody got some ideas/suggestions?
