  • A small optimization: I think you could have done this without the PIC – the GM862 has quite a few GPIO pins, and is programmable (in Python), so you could probably have done the rotary sensing etc directly from the GM862.
    Also, in the UK version of these phones, I think the microphone was resistive, do you think that’s what you’ve got here? I’m not that hot on analog stuff myself but I think your circuit would work with a resistive microphone.
